Wildlife Art Pastel Paintings Gallery Pastel is a relatively new medium I have discovered. The ease with which I am able to create velvety soft fur is one of the reason I was attracted to pastels. The other reason is how the bold rich colors easily blend on the paper giving the impression I am painting (without a brush) rather than drawing. I imagine that is why pastel artwork is most often referred to as a painting. Private commissions are accepted for any animal or wildlife subjects you require.
