Akita German Shepherd Mix

Original pet portrait commissioned by Karen and Jay Ruffner of Morris, IL.  Upon receiving the portrait, Karen expressed to me that it was like Misha was finally "home" with them again (Misha had suddenly passed away after an unfortunate accident). I am so very  happy to have been able to bring such joy to this family and I am thankful for being given the opportunity to paint the portrait of their beloved companion and friend.

We like it how it is!  We love it!  It's absolutely perfect.  We looked at it today and really think it's right on where we want it to be. We really like how you lightened the dark spots and darkened the white.  The brown around her eyes literally matched her eyes so I think it's good.  I think this way makes her look younger.  She acquired more white as she aged...
