The first step is to draw the outline of the cat's main features to form  a  rough sketch.		Hamlet's head is almost complete. The short fur on his face took many hours to complete.
Update 3		Update 4
More and more fur is added using several different grades of pencils.		Hamlet's portrait  is coming to life. I love his little foot pads!

Next I will add the details of the blanket and this pencil drawing will be complete.		This sweet cat portrait is now ready to frame and hang on a wall.
