Here the preliminary sketch is complete and I started adding color to the nose and eye.  Grey will be the predominant color for this rhinoceros although there will be light ochre highlights.		I added depth to the thick wrinkles of skin on the nose. The horn is beginning to  take it's 3 dimensional shape. Charcoal is added to the darkest parts in the ear, nostril and to define the crease of the wrinkles.

The larger folds of skin on the neck are beginning to take shape.  My hand seems to work randomly across the canvas, with no particular preference to where I add detail.  The only exception to this is that I almost always start with the eyes.		More to come soon...
